Endodontology – grabbing hold of the root of pain

The aim of endodontic therapy is always to retain teeth. Root canal therapy, the final resort when a tooth’s nerve tissue becomes inflamed, requires a lot of care, precision and above all time.

The fine, complex tooth root canals have to be freed of the inflamed nerve. Digital x-rays give us a precise diagnosis. Therapy involves the use of special preparation instruments, ultrasonic devices and surgical microscopes.

Finally, the canals are filled with biocompatible material and the opening is sealed. The tooth is saved for many years to come and an implant is unnecessary.
